Fanueil Hall

1:750 scale miniature paper model, about 1.5 by 1.75 inches when built

Merchant Peter Faneuil donated money to build Boston a new marketplace with upper floor meeting hall in 1740. The iconic grasshopper weathervane symbolizing trade and commerce has topped the spire since the building was finished in 1742. The hall has been remodeled and modified several times, including an expansion by architect Charles Bulfinch which doubled its size in 1806..

A 1:500 scale version of this model is printed in the book American Landmarks: Miniature Models to Cut and Assemble
