Chicago Harbor Light 1:500 scale miniature paper model, about 2.25 inches tall when built The Chicago harbor was once one of the busiest ports in the nation. This lighthouse was built in 1893 and features a third-order Fresnel lens displayed at the World's Columbian Exposition. The tower was moved to its present position at the end of the outer harbor breakwater in 1917. The flashing red light was automated in 1979. Read more:
