This Midtown skyscraper was the first modernist International Style office tower in New York when it opened in 1952. Designed by architect Gordon Bunshaft, the buildings green glass and gleaming stainless steel walls reflect its original use as the corporate headquarters of the worlds largest soap manufacturer.
The Lever House is located diagonally across Park Avenue from the Seagram Building.
