1:1500 scale miniature paper model, about 1.25 inches tall when built The rotunda, colonnade and exhibition hall of the Palace of Fine Arts are some of the few surviving buildings of San Francisco's 1915 Panama-Pacific International Exposition. Designed by architect Bernard Maybeck to resemble a Roman ruin, the original rotunda was built of temporary materials for the fair and was falling into ruin before it was rebuilt in cast concrete in the 1960s.
