1:500 scale miniature paper model, about 2.75 inches wide when built The cornerstone of this government meeting hall with first-floor merchant's exchange was laid in 1712. The building was the center of colonial government and commercial life in early Boston. A fire in 1747 destroyed the interior, but it was rebuilt using the same walls. The building has had several restorations to return it to its original colonial appearance. Read more:
