1:750 scale miniature paper model, about 2.75 inches tall when built Built in 1729 as a Puritan meeting house, it was the largest building in early Boston. In the 1770s, thousands gathered here to debate British taxation, including the protesters who destroyed a shipment of tea in Boston Harbor in 1773. The building was saved from demolition in 1877 by a group of women preservationists and has been open as a museum ever since. Read more:
