Inland Steel Building 1:1500 scale miniature paper model, about 3.75 inches tall when built This elegant modernist tower by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill was completed in 1958 after two decades of scant construction in the Loop. The building was one of the first to use steel cladding, and the first in Chicago to be fully air-conditioned. Read more:
