S.R. Crown Hall

1:1000 scale miniature paper model, about 3 inches wide by 1.5 inches deep when built

This 1956 glass and steel pavilion was designed by Mies van der Rohe as the home of the Department of Architecture at the Illinois Institute of Technology. Four 120-foot girders support the roof without interior columns to create one wide, open space for classes and exhibitions.
