Chicago Board of Trade Building 1:2500 scale miniature paper model, about 2.75 inches tall when built Holabird & Roche designed this art-deco skyscraper which towers dramatically over the end of LaSalle Street. At 609 feet it was the tallest building in Chicago when completed in 1930 and featured a popular glass observation deck. A silver statue of the goddess Ceres holding a sheaf of wheat and sack of corn keeps watch over the busy commodity traders below. Read more:
