Shoemaker Peter Walinder and his wife Matilda purchased this simple 1-1/2 story workers cottage with a bay window for $1000 in 1889. In the 1910s milk carrier Jens Nielsen and his wife Marie owned the house and raised five children here. For decades after that the house was a rental property with many different residents.

The house was demolished in March 2017.
