Hearst Tower 1:2500 scale miniature paper model, about 3 inches tall This art deco building commissioned by William Randolph Hearst in 1928 was intended to be the base of a taller tower. 78 years later, a 46-story glass skyscraper designed by Norman Foster was finally added. The original building is preserved as a facade around a light-filled atrium featuring an escalator running through a three-story water sculpture. Read more:
