2912 W. Lyndale

William Kuschel purchased these two lots in 1882. The tall two-flat at 2912 may have featured attractive woodwork trim when it was new, but at some point later all those details were stripped away or covered over by green asphalt shingling. In its last few years the house appeared increasingly dilapidated before it was demolished in early 2017.

The house behind it at 2914, dating from 1894, was built along the alley across both lots rather than alongside 2912. In November 2009 the house was damaged by a fire and was demolished.
