INDEPENDENCE HALL
built 1732
paper model scale 1:500
This civic hall was built to house the colonial government of Pennsylvania. The Declaration of Independence was signed here and first read to the public in next-door Independence Square. The Liberty Bell once tolled from its bell tower, and the building hosted the Continental Congress as well as the drafting and signing of the U.S. Constitution.
A 1:750 scale postcard version of this model is also available from Wurlington Press
