BART Train 1:160 N scale miniature paper model, about 5.5 inches long when complete The Bay Area Rapid Transit system opened in 1972, connecting San Francisco to the cities of the East Bay. It was one of the first train systems run from a computer control center, with an operator on board just to make announcements and close the train doors.
