AOK's Coffee Shoppe
364 Westfield St.
West Springfield, Massachusetts
This small cafe on Highway 20 was originally a sheet metal business in the 1960s. In 1970 the Rhode Island-based donut chain Bess Eaton bought the building and opened a donut and coffee shop here in addition to two other locations across the river in Springfield. This location may not have been as successful as others nearby. In 1980 the donut shop franchise closed and reopened as AOK's Coffee Shoppe under the ownership of entrepreneur Adolf Kastel.
Since at least 2010 the location has been the New Joy Wah Chinese restaurant.
