Rugged profile resembling the "Great Elector" (Frederick Wilhelm, Elector of Brandenburg, who rebuilt Prussia after the Thirty Years War) with his beakish nose and powdered wig. The craggy spire is located next to Goldstein, one of four large volcanic remnants which protrude from the Istenberg hillside. Iron Age warriors more than 2000 years ago walled in the area between the stones to make a defensive hill fort.
