1:2000 scale miniature paper model, about 2 inches wide by 2 inches long when built

For many years the Supreme Court met in a spare room in the U.S. Capitol. Chief Justice (and former President) William Taft campaigned for a dedicated home for the court, although both he and architect Cass Gilbert passed away before the building was completed in 1935.
